Community Events

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California is hosting a community-focused virtual event addressing federal responses to AAPI hate crimes and incidents on Thursday, April 22, from 12:00 pm-1:15 pm via Webex. 

The Office will have speakers from the Anti-Defamation League, the FBI, and the Public Corruption and Civil Rights Section to address the following:

• Understand the difference between a hate crime, hate speech, hate act, or hate incident
• Learn how and when to report a hate crime incident or act of discrimination
• Learn about the state of hate and bigotry in this era of COVID
• Find out how to empower yourself and victims of hate incidents and crimes through reporting
