Short Bio
Sharlene Lee is a partner of Hawkinson Yang LLP. She represents companies, shareholders, and executives in resolving business litigation and employment disputes. Sharlene prosecutes and defends actions involving trade secrets, non-solicitation, non-competition, unfair competition, founder disputes, privacy, defamation, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and real estate issues, with a focus on closely-held and family business disputes.
In her counsel to employers and executives, Sharlene advises on and defends a range of matters involving wrongful termination, equity, bonus, commission, independent contractor and exempt classification, discrimination/harassment, reasonable accommodation, wage & hour, PAGA, whistleblower, and retaliation claims, including in state court and in administrative matters (Labor Commissioner, EEOC/Civil Rights Department, and EDD). She has conducted employment investigations, as well as advised companies and executives in handling investigations.
Sharlene received her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
