Take advantage of these series that will be beneficial for any attorney advising business segments, employers or foreign nationals on hiring and compliance issues involving immigration law. Attendees will be provided with an overview of the Immigration Reform and Control Act and requirements imposed on employers and foreign nationals by immigration laws. Particular focus will be placed on verification requirements, I-9 requirements, anti-discrimination requirements, conflicts of interest issues between employers and their employees, the different types of work visas available to employers and foreign nationals, maintenance of status for foreign nationals, audit compliance and ICE raids.
Panelists will specifically address recent developments in immigration law effecting employers and foreign nationals, such as: the proposed travel ban; suspension of H-1B premium processing; International Entrepreneur Parole (IEP); National Interest Waiver (NIW); and Employment Authorization Document (EAD) Au-to-Extension.
