Apply to be a Member of the SCCLA Board of Governors!

Minimum Board Requirements:

  • Maintain active State Bar membership
  • Be a current paid member of SCCLA.
  • Pay the fixed board member dues, to be determined annually.
  • Attend at least 10 monthly board meetings per year.
  • Attend at least 2 sister bar association dinners per year.
  • Help plan and attend a variety of SCCLA-sponsored and SCCLA co-sponsored events.
  • Help plan and coordinate SCCLA’s annual installation dinner.

E-mail the application, along with your current resume, to info@sccla.org. SCCLA accepts applications on an ongoing basis and will consider all applications when a seat becomes open. Apply for a SCCLA Scholarship or Fellowship!

Scholarship and Fellowship applications for the 2018 year have closed. If you will be a law student in the 2018-2019 school year, you may submit your application at any time. We will be reviewing applications and making a decision in Spring 2019 – stay tuned for the deadline!

Apply to be a SCCLA Law Student Representative!

SCCLA’s law student representatives are an integral part of our Board of Governors. We rely upon our law student representatives to communicate with law schools, which is essential in our provision of mentorship and scholarship activities. SCCLA law student representative obtain an inside perspective on the inner workings of a bar organization, and are given the opportunity to forge invaluable connections with some of the most influential jurists in Los Angeles!
